Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mono Loco (ranked 2365 p4p, 2455 weight class) and Pull Plugger (ranked 209 p4p, 214 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 38 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mono Loco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Pull Plugger!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Loco.
Loco just content to control the position.
Plugger gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Plugger tries to roll over but Loco keeps him under control.
Plugger keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Loco is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Loco seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Plugger wants to control but Loco is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pull Plugger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Plugger gets caught flat footed, as Loco shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Plugger is pulling down on Loco's head. It's preventing any offense from Loco, at least for the moment.
Plugger's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Plugger is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Loco advances to half guard.
Plugger is staying active underneath Loco, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Loco seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Plugger does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Plugger has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Plugger might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Loco haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Plugger is looking to improve his position.
Loco wants to pass the guard but Plugger is defending well.
Plugger tries to roll over but Loco keeps him under control.

Loco is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Plugger is just riding it out for now. Loco eventually gives up the hold.
Loco wants to control but Plugger is keeping him busy.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Loco's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Loco manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Plugger on his heels. He'll look to pass Plugger's guard now, I'm sure.

Let's hope that Plugger has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Loco is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Plugger is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Loco fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Plugger sprawls well initially but Loco persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Loco perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Loco wants to control but Plugger is keeping him busy.
Mono Loco overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Loco wants to free his trapped foot but Plugger is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Loco is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Plugger can do to turn this around?

Loco seems to be working for a kimura but Plugger defends the submission attempt.
Plugger tries to roll over but Loco keeps him under control.
Loco will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Plugger wants to control but Loco is keeping busy.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Loco takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Loco takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Loco throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Plugger tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Loco is in Plugger's guard.

Loco shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Plugger napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Plugger lands a jab-cross combination.
Plugger throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Plugger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Loco feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Loco is stalling here. Plugger is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Loco seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Plugger has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mono Loco.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Loco, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
