Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeryl Christ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyres Widforss!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Widforss connects with a single shot there.
Widforss shoots for a takedown but Christ saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Widforss closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Widforss thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Christ's head.

You get the feeling that Christ really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Widforss has hold of Christ's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Christ manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeryl Christ will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Widforss tries to advance to mount but Christ denies him.

Widforss is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Christ is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Widforss is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Christ has escaped the position, nice work there.
Christ pushes Widforss away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Widforss gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The ground and pound from Widforss seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
