PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Fixit (ranked 5449 p4p, 3125 weight class) and Michael Dewire (ranked 546 p4p, 395 weight class). Dewire comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Come With Me Now kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fixit tries to close the distance and clinch but Dewire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dewire changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Fixit has closed the distance and engaged Dewire in a clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dewire has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Dewire is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Fixit has his hands clasped together but Dewire extends and breaks Fixit's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dewire.
