The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Gaul throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Plant was covering up waiting for the punch and Gaul finishes the takedown easily into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Plant (0) vs (2) Gaul
Gaul is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Plant tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gaul is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Gaul is pushing down on Plant's leg trying to pass to half guard. Plant is fighting to maintain full guard but Gaul has managed to sneak the leg through.

Plant tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gaul cranks the arm and Plant screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Plant, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
