Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Yoshi Takano (ranked 4400 p4p, 22387 weight class) and Arild Ringnes (ranked 149 p4p, 265 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yoshi Takano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arild Ringnes !
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takano misses with a looping right.
Ringnes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Takano.
Takano keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ringnes throws a jab but it's blocked by Takano.
Takano missing with a left hand there. Ringnes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Takano misses with an uppercut
and Ringnes counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ringnes takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Yoshi Takano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ringnes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Takano.
Takano checks a leg kick.
Takano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Takano is looking to chop away at Ringnes 's legs.
Takano stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ringnes .
Ringnes takes a swing at Takano's ribcage but misses.
Takano is looking to clinch but Ringnes is avoiding it.
Ringnes let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Ringnes tries to work over Takano's front leg with a kick but Takano checks it.
Ringnes tries to score with a low kick but Takano moves his leg out of the way.
Ringnes keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Takano throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ringnes counters with a left and a right that stings Takano.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Takano throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ringnes misses with a combination
and Takano counters with a three punch combo that has Ringnes backing up. Ringnes nods at Takano to acknowledge the strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A solid leg kick lands there for Takano.
Takano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ringnes .
A slow jab from Takano misses its intended target.
Ringnes avoids a punch combination nicely.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ringnes ! But no joy.
Ringnes finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ringnes throws a body punch but Takano moves out of range.
Ringnes moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A head kick misses from Takano.
Takano takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ringnes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takano was well out of range. Poor timing from Ringnes .
Ringnes thows a left - swing and a miss!
Takano lands with a nice body punch.
Takano pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Takano misses with an uppercut. Ringnes saw that one coming.
Ringnes connects with a solid leg kick.
Ringnes throws a leg kick which misses Takano's front leg but catches the back leg as Takano tries to avoid it.
Arild Ringnes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ringnes scores with a hook.
Ringnes checks a low kick from Takano.
Takano has been working on his boxing with his coaches at HELLsinki in the buildup to the fight.
Takano tries to clinch up but Ringnes circles away and keeps his distance.
Takano misses with a looping left.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ringnes ! But no joy.
Takano throws a sloppy head kick
and Ringnes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Takano thinking.
Ringnes lands with a straight right. Takano didn't see that one coming.
Ringnes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Takano looks to land a right hand but Ringnes moved out of range.
Takano tries to clinch up.
Ringnes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takano manages to avoid it.

Ringnes pushes Takano up against the ropes in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Takano's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Ringnes lands a left hand.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ringnes avoiding damage as Takano throws knees to the body.
A short right from Ringnes .
Takano is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ringnes is defending well for now.
Ringnes scores with a shot to the side of Takano's head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Ringnes .
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Arild Ringnes dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Takano throws a leg kick but Ringnes moved away.
Ringnes attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Ringnes slips a straight right by Takano.
Yoshi Takano is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ringnes connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Takano onto his butt! Takano bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.
A head kick from Takano lands but Ringnes takes it in his stride.
Takano is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Ringnes just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Takano has gone limp and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Arild Ringnes !
