PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Alvarez (ranked 1697 p4p, 3811 weight class) and Jason Hay (ranked 102 p4p, 205 weight class). Alvarez comes to the cage accompanied by Juan Luis Guerra - Soldado. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Hay!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez misses with a straight right.
Alvarez looks to land a combination but Hay avoids it well.

and Alvarez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd cheers as Alvarez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hay doesn't seem phased though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Hay is desperately trying to improve his position but Alvarez has a good base and remains in mount.
