Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Pulizzi (ranked 2997 p4p, 3528 weight class) and Nishi Guri (ranked 416 p4p, 467 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Pulizzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nishi Guri!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guri attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Pulizzi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Pulizzi misses with a looping left.
Pulizzi misses with a few strikes there.
Guri feints a counter leg kick.
Guri thows a leg kick but Pulizzi checks it
and Pulizzi counters with a series of strikes. Guri will be more careful next time no doubt.

Guri is rocked!
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A big right from Guri misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pulizzi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Guri.
Guri throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pulizzi sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Guri bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pulizzi's head backwards.

Guri buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Guri fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pulizzi.
Guri throws out a leg kick but Pulizzi moves out of range and Guri only half commits.
Guri moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Guri's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Guri fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pulizzi.

Guri looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Guri is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pulizzi with a body shot.
Nishi Guri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pulizzi throws a body shot but no joy.
Pulizzi loads up on a big right hand but Guri slips the punch.

Guri digs a right hand underneath Pulizzi's ribcage. Pulizzi let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Pulizzi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Guri's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Guri fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Guri cracks Pulizzi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Guri lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pulizzi circles away quickly and effectively.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pulizzi jabs Guri to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Guri slips a jab and a cross from Pulizzi.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Guri lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Pulizzi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Pulizzi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Pulizzi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Guri stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Pulizzi will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Guri is looking to slow Pulizzi down with leg kicks.
The fight stays on the outside here - Guri looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A little feinted left hand from Pulizzi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
