Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexandru Mircea (ranked 982 p4p, 935 weight class) and Meltdown Miettinen (ranked 110 p4p, 103 weight class). Mircea comes into the arena with Shatter blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexandru Mircea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Meltdown Miettinen!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miettinen misses with a takedown attempt
and Mircea connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mircea uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Miettinen has time to react.
Miettinen has closed the distance and engaged Mircea in a clinch.
Mircea swings wildly with an uppercut but Miettinen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Miettinen has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mircea regains guard immediately.
Miettinen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Miettinen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Miettinen looking to sit in guard and control but Mircea gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Miettinen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mircea defends it easily.
Miettinen has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mircea should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Miettinen has tightened it up now! Mircea should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
