Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between RaeRae Usman (ranked 2558 p4p, 4131 weight class) and Javier Pinales (ranked 330 p4p, 478 weight class). Usman comes into the arena with Yaba Buluku blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Usman throws a lazy right hand but Pinales sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pinales slips a jab and a cross from Usman.

Pinales moves out of range as Usman throws a body kick.
Usman throws a sloppy head kick and Pinales moves out of range easily.
Pinales drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Usman defends it well.
Usman throws an overhand right that lands on Pinales's shoulder, as Pinales tries to avoid the shot.

Usman misses with a head kick.
Pinales has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Pinales shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pinales showed some decent athleticism there.

Pinales is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Usman is just riding it out for now. Pinales eventually gives up the hold.

Pinales is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Usman throws a lazy body kick

Usman pushes Pinales away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pinales gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Pinales is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Usman looks calm but he's in trouble here. Pinales gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Usman is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Pinales lets go of the hold and Usman can pop his arm back in it's socket.
