Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Freaky Fred (ranked 3107 p4p, 3849 weight class) and Igor Vovchanchyn (ranked 259 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

With a record of 9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Igor Vovchanchyn!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fred closes the distance looking to clinch
and Vovchanchyn counters with a stiff right hand.
A telegraphed right hand from Fred misses the target.
Vovchanchyn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fred circles away quickly and effectively.
Vovchanchyn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fred blocks a head kick by Vovchanchyn.
Fred tries to clinch but Vovchanchyn moves away
and Vovchanchyn counters with a nice uppercut.
Vovchanchyn lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Fred shoots in for a double leg but Vovchanchyn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Vovchanchyn is trying to counter with his kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vovchanchyn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vovchanchyn throws a nice inside leg kick.
Vovchanchyn lands a nice hook to Fred's body. Fred takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Fred on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vovchanchyn. Vovchanchyn obviously looking to wear him down.

Fred throws a leg kick but Vovchanchyn moved away.
Vovchanchyn scores with the left hand. Fred knows he should have avoided that one.
Fred swings widly with a right hand
and Vovchanchyn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vovchanchyn lands with a nice body kick.
Vovchanchyn fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Vovchanchyn pushes Fred away with a front kick.
Fred definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Vovchanchyn jabs Fred to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Fred takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fred tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Fred tries for a takedown but Vovchanchyn circles away easily
and Vovchanchyn counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Fred is breathing heavily.
Nice body kick there by Vovchanchyn.

Vovchanchyn stalks Fred and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fred's face. Fred staggers backwards, shaken.
Fred takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Vovchanchyn throws out a powerful jab.
Vovchanchyn scores with a jab to the body.
Vovchanchyn connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fred's hands.

Fred is rocked!
Fred tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Vovchanchyn counters with a stiff right hand.
Oh Fred is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A solid body kick from Vovchanchyn.
Fred tries to get into range but Vovchanchyn steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Fred! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Vovchanchyn scores the big KO victory!
