Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ripped Buff (ranked 4065 p4p, 4511 weight class) and Max McGrath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ripped Buff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max McGrath!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGrath fails with the takedown

and Buff counters by moving into the clinch.
Buff tries to throw a body punch but McGrath avoids it by throwing Buff back against the cage.

Buff drags the fight down to the ground.
Buff wants to get back to his feet but McGrath passes into half guard.
McGrath prevents Buff from improving his position.
Buff is trying to control but McGrath passes into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGrath decides to stand back up.
Buff misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Buff.

Buff scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Buff working away.
McGrath tries to buck Buff off but Buff is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGrath wants to get back to his feet but Buff drags him back down.
Buff sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McGrath is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
McGrath is trying to control Buff's posture but Buff avoids it.
McGrath is looking to regain half guard here but Buff keeps moving and retains side control.
Buff controlling the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGrath tries to buck Buff off but Buff is having none of it.
Buff is looking to take a break and control but McGrath is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Buff takes a little break here. McGrath wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on McGrath's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Buff closes the distance and clinches.
McGrath has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Buff after a bit of a struggle.
McGrath tries to pull guard but Buff forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Ripped Buff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max McGrath.
Buff can't get the takedown.

McGrath pulls Buff into guard.
Buff forces his way into half guard.
Buff is looking to advance position but McGrath won't allow it.
Buff tries to stand but his hand is stuck under McGrath.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

McGrath is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Buff pulls his head out easily.

McGrath looking for subs from the bottom but Buff mounts him!

Buff jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but McGrath manages to avoid the submission attempt.
McGrath is trying to improve his position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ripped Buff dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

McGrath shoots in looking for a takedown but Buff manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McGrath's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McGrath is defended easily by Buff.
McGrath lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Ripped Buff has been cut.

Buff gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McGrath is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Buff to keep the fight standing.
Ripped Buff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max McGrath.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buff working hard to break the clinch.
McGrath is looking to take this one to the mat.
Buff effectively controlling the action here.

Buff pulls guard effortlessly.
McGrath really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buff. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Buff looking to hit a scissor sweep but McGrath is one step ahead there.

Buff is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McGrath is aware though and is defending well.
McGrath being controlled here momentarily.

Buff escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGrath gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McGrath wants to control from the top but Buff keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

McGrath stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Buff misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McGrath uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Buff.

Buff forces McGrath back against the cage and clinches.

McGrath manages to break the clinch.
McGrath slaps away a takedown attempt from Buff, before circling back to the center of the mat.

McGrath gets caught napping as Buff dives in and scores a takedown. McGrath manages to retain guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Buff has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McGrath is proving hard to escape from.
McGrath trying to keep a closed guard but Buff is proving a slippery customer.
Buff sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Buff postures up.
Buff is looking to work some ground and pound but McGrath has wrist control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Buff forces his way into half guard.
Buff content to control rather than advance.

Buff is trying for a kimura here. McGrath looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Buff wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ripped Buff!
