The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gonzalez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says James as he avoids it easily.
It looked like James wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
James lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Gonzalez is looking to advance position but James won't allow it.
James wants to control but Gonzalez is keeping busy.

James wants to control but Gonzalez is having none of it.

James knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gonzalez on the ground.
James tries to hold on but Gonzalez postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
James is trying desperately to improve position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gonzalez wants to take James's back but he can't do it this time.

Gonzalez has control of James's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and James regains control of the situation pretty easily.
James tries to lock up and control but Gonzalez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gonzalez has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. James is defending well but eventually Gonzalez manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! James has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
