Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Callum Jones (ranked 5529 p4p, 3074 weight class) and Marco Peccati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Callum Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marco Peccati!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Jones.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Peccati tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Peccati to the ground. Peccati escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Peccati stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Peccati wants it to stay on the feet.
Callum Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peccati changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Peccati tries for a kimura but Jones is defending well.
Peccati trying to control the position but Jones is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peccati goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jones has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Peccati but great work by Jones.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Peccati is not content to let Jones control the position.
Peccati is looking to reverse the position.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Peccati is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Peccati is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.

Jones tries to advance to mount but can't.
Peccati looking for a sweep but Jones has passed into full mount! Oh no!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Peccati regains half guard.
Peccati tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.
Jones is thwarting Peccati's attempts to control the position.
Peccati moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jones looking to pass the guard.
Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Peccati is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Peccati keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peccati is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Peccati circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Callum Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones misses with a head kick.
Peccati throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Peccati finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Peccati pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Callum Jones will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jones wants to get back to his feet but Peccati is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peccati tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jones knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Peccati seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jones is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
