Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tian Guo (ranked 4285 p4p, 4392 weight class) and Jack Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howard has chosen Copperhead Road - Steve Earle as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tian Guo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Howard!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard gets caught napping as Guo dives in and scores a takedown. Howard manages to retain guard.
Howard utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Guo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Howard is looking for a triangle here but Guo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Guo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Howard's shoulder. That is not cool.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Howard avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Guo.
Howard tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Guo easily slips into full mount!

Howard looks to throw the jab but Guo is out of range.

Guo tries to clinch but Howard is having none of it.

Howard misses with a looping left.
Guo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Howard connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Guo scrambles back to his feet.

Howard's corner calls for a 1-2. Howard obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Guo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Howard, pushing him back against the cage.
Guo is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Guo creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Howard's defenses.
Howard goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Guo jumps into guard, dragging Howard to the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Guo is adopting a defensive guard.
Guo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Guo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Howard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Howard manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guo has control of Howard's left arm, preventing Howard from doing any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Guo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Howard defends it easily.
Guo has his feet on Howard's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Guo drives through with a takedown into Howard's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Howard is wriggling around but Guo manages to pass to half guard.
Tian Guo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Howard is trying to stand up here but Guo is controlling him well.

Guo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Howard defends it well.

Howard controls Guo momentarily but Guo frees himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Guo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Howard has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Guo has managed to get both his arms back between Howard's legs - danger averted.
Howard can't keep his opponent in guard - Guo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Guo not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Guo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Tian Guo will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Guo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Howard throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Guo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Howard ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Guo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Howard.
Howard lands a lovely overhand right.

Howard has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Guo has Howard up against the cage in a clinch.
Guo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Guo counters with a single leg into guard. Howard didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Guo is taking a breather. Howard says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Well, if Guo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Howard throws a series of strikes that have Guo backpedaling.
Howard bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Guo's head backwards.

Howard connects with a nice looking jab.
Howard connects with a right hand. Guo shakes it off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Howard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Tian Guo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Guo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Some wild striking there from Howard.
Howard misses the jab.
Guo is looking to counter the offense by Howard and move into the clinch.
Howard loads up on a big right hand but Guo slips the punch.
Guo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Howard back to the cage. Guo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Howard throws a jab when Guo was well out of range.
Tian Guo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Guo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Guo decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Howard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Guo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
