The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Misahawa lands a slapping body shot.
Misahawa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cobb goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Cobb checks a low kick from Misahawa.
Misahawa just misses with a punch to the body.
Misahawa slips a jab from Cobb.

Misahawa flicks out a counter leg kick but Cobb steps away.
Misahawa paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Cobb seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Misahawa told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Cobb jumps guard and drags Misahawa to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

It looks like Kenichi Misahawa has been cut.
Misahawa looks to land a left hand but Cobb moved out of range nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Misahawa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cobb manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
