The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Not Carlos on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Not Carlos tries to clinch but Stankin is having none of it.

Not Carlos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Not Carlos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jab, jab by Stankin - just one landing.
Not Carlos shoots in and drives through. Stankin sprawls well.
David Stankin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Not Carlos.

Not Carlos takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Not Carlos takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Stankin grinds an elbow into Not Carlos's temple.

The referee asks Stankin politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Stankin prefers to stall for the moment though.

Stankin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Stankin in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Not Carlos looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Stankin turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

David Stankin spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
