The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chai misses with a looping left.
A little jabbing left from Christ on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Christ throws out a loose jab but Chai uses good head movement to avoid it.
It looked like Chai wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Chai looks to land a left hand but Christ moved out of range nicely.
Christ misses with the combination.
Christ throws an overhand right that lands on Chai's shoulder, as Chai tries to avoid the shot.
Christ swings for the body but Chai moves out of range.
Chai moves into range and connects with a jab.
Chai uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Christ.
Chai tries to bum rush Christ with a series of wild strikes but Christ uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Christ fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chai manages to avoid it.
We've been told by Chai's head coaches at Master Chai's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chai misses the shot to the body.
Chai throws a shot from downtown. Christ moves away and avoids it.
Chai throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Christ keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Chai throws a hook but Christ blocks it.
Chai throws an overhand right that lands on Christ's shoulder, as Christ tries to avoid the shot.

Christ pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Chai back to the cage. Christ follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Chai walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Chai misses with the combination.
Christ bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Christ lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chai circles away quickly and effectively.
Chai looks to land a left hand but Christ moved out of range nicely.
Christ looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Chai avoids the body shot from Christ.
Christ takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Joel Christ has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Christ is rocked!
Christ is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Chai doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Christ crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Christ's bad books for that mishap!
