Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tai Kina (ranked 2119 p4p, 2134 weight class) and Deanthony Pederson (ranked 272 p4p, 275 weight class). Deanthony Pederson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tai Kina's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Deanthony Pederson!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pederson misses with a wild body shot.
Pederson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kina darts in looking for a takedown but Pederson gets double underhooks and turns Kina into the cage.

Kina drags the fight down to the ground.
Pederson distracts Kina with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Kina is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pederson is just riding it out for now. Kina eventually gives up the hold.

Pederson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Kina is staying active.
Kina is looking to stall here but Pederson recovers full guard.
Tai Kina overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kina wants to get up but he can't break Pederson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kina trying to control the position from guard on top but Pederson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kina got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pederson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kina has managed to get both his arms back between Pederson's legs - danger averted.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kina accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kina throws an elbow that misses. Pederson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kina's guard. Nice move by Pederson!

Pederson drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Pederson as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Kina screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Pederson! Nice submission victory there!

Deanthony Pederson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
