The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mariduena throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mariduena avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Venegas moves into the clinch.
Mariduena wants the takedown. Venegas is fighting it off but Mariduena persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Venegas 's guard against the cage.
Venegas pushes Mariduena off and scrambles back to his feet.
Venegas goes for a double leg but Mariduena avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mariduena continues to drive forward.
Mariduena looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
