PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Valtteri Badass (ranked 2003 p4p, 1349 weight class) and Pablo Itzpapalotltotec (ranked 273 p4p, 191 weight class). Itzpapalotltotec is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Copacabana - Barry Manilow. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badass lunges at Itzpapalotltotec with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Itzpapalotltotec's hand.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Itzpapalotltotec has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Itzpapalotltotec throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Badass throws a lazy right hand but Itzpapalotltotec sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Itzpapalotltotec shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Badass manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Itzpapalotltotec wants to get up but he can't break Badass's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Valtteri Badass tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
