Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Blevins (ranked 2658 p4p, 5700 weight class) and Andrew Childers (ranked 338 p4p, 510 weight class). Andrew Childers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arnold Blevins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andrew Childers!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blevins getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Blevins wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Blevins scores with a leg kick.
Blevins throws a quick inside leg kick.
Blevins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Childers has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Childers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Childers wants to control from the top but Blevins keeps moving.
Childers trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Blevins wants to sweep but no luck.
Childers with a nice head shot there.
Childers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blevins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Blevins has his hands on Childers's head, controlling the position.

Childers throws an elbow that misses. Blevins uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Childers's guard. Nice move by Blevins!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Childers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blevins is one step ahead there.
Blevins content to stall in guard here.
Childers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blevins's guard.

Blevins wants to sweep here but Childers controlling him for the moment.
Childers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Blevins has his hands on Childers's head, controlling the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blevins is on top in guard.

Childers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Blevins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Childers has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Blevins is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Childers.
Childers tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Blevins definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Blevins content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Childers is looking to regain half guard here but Blevins keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Blevins moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Childers is looking for a sweep.
Childers is letting Blevins control him for a moment.
Childers is looking to reverse the position.
Blevins taking a breather here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Blevins lands some shots froms side control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Blevins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Blevins lands a slapping body shot.
Blevins connects with a looping right hand.
A chopping leg kick lands by Blevins.
Arnold Blevins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blevins scores with a crisp jab that stopped Childers in his tracks.
Blevins throws a nice inside leg kick.
Blevins lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Arnold Blevins is winning the standup battle so far.
Blevins is looking to chop away at Childers's legs.
Blevins lands with a thumping leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Blevins, as that shot connected.
Childers has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Childers is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blevins throws a shot to the body.
Childers shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Blevins counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Blevins dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Childers. That did some damage!

Blevins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blevins wants it to stay on the feet.
Blevins connects with a solid leg kick.
Childers throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Blevins counter with a right hand.
Childers throws a head kick that misses
and Blevins counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Arnold Blevins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Blevins lands a jab.
Blevins scores with a nice right hand.
Blevins lands with a thumping leg kick.
Blevins lands a nice shot to the body.
Blevins connects with a single shot there.
Blevins bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Childers's head backwards.

Childers is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Childers is still on wobbly legs! Can Blevins finish him?
Childers walks straight into a right hand from Blevins - that's dropped him! Blevins jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Childers from any more punishment! Childers complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Arnold Blevins!
Arnold Blevins very nearly forgot to thank Primal amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
