The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danny throws a combination. Sheppard tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sheppard throws a left and a right that both miss

and Danny decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sheppard's guard.
Danny is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Sheppard wants to stand up but Danny is controlling him.
Danny is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Sheppard can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Danny controls the pace.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sheppard, as that shot connected.
Sheppard throws a series of punches but Danny avoids them all with ease.

Sheppard stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sheppard wants it to stay on the feet.

Danny closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Sheppard has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Danny is on him like a limpet, forcing Sheppard back against the cage.
Danny definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sheppard enables Danny to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sheppard manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Sheppard is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
