The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Hageman drops back looking for a leg! Gambini is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gambini manages to kick Hageman off! Hageman jumps back into Gambini's guard.
Gambini bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hageman's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gambini sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hageman's guard.

Gambini seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gambini really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gambini has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Gambini looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Gambini.
Gambini's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hageman wants to control but Gambini is having none of it.
Gambini takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Gambini is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Gambini seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hageman for as long as he can get away with.

Hageman is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Gambini will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gambini continues to stall.
