Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Basko Godwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerricho Patterson!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson throws a head kick that misses
and Godwin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Jerricho Patterson has been cut.
Patterson throws a head kick but Godwin moves out of range.
Patterson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Godwin moves away.

Patterson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Godwin tries to move into range but Patterson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Godwin misses with a leg kick.
Patterson scores with a hook to the body. Godwin takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Patterson needs to keep his hands up - Godwin had a free shot at his head there.

Patterson loads up on a big right hand but Godwin slips the punch.
Patterson walks into a left hand.
Patterson works Godwin's body with a nice hook.

Godwin lands with a nice body kick.
Patterson takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Jerricho Patterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Godwin tries to close the distance and clinch but Patterson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Godwin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Canadian Combat Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Patterson throws a head kick that misses.
Godwin fires out a quick counter leg kick but Patterson just manages to avoid it.
Godwin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Patterson.
Patterson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Godwin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Patterson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Godwin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Godwin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Patterson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Godwin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Godwin takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Godwin connects with a body shot.
Patterson throws a head kick that misses
enabling Godwin to counter with a crisp jab.
Patterson looks to throw the jab but Godwin is out of range.
Godwin walks into a jab.

Godwin scores with a jab to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Godwin throws a right and a left that Patterson avoids nicely.
Patterson lands with a kick to the temple. Godwin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Patterson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Godwin at a distance.
Patterson throws a head kick but Godwin moves out of range.
Godwin swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Patterson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Godwin.
Patterson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Godwin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Patterson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Godwin. Godwin obviously looking to wear him down.
Godwin scores with a nice strike.
Godwin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Patterson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Godwin moves out of range of the strikes.
Godwin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Patterson. That did some damage!
Patterson sends Godwin crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Patterson is motioning to the referee to let Godwin up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Godwin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Patterson throws a pinpoint strike between Godwin's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Godwin crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Patterson scores a great knockout victory!
