Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lathem McGuire (ranked 1173 p4p, 1935 weight class) and Eron Saunders (ranked 143 p4p, 228 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saunders scores with a jab. McGuire acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
McGuire throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Saunders tries to clinch up.
A little feinted left hand from McGuire on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Saunders displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McGuire throws out the jab.
McGuire lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Eron Saunders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGuire loads up on a big right hand but Saunders slips the punch.
Saunders tries to clinch but McGuire moves out of range.
Saunders changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Saunders throws a right and a left that both miss.

McGuire throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Saunders misses with a wild body shot.
Saunders has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McGuire is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Saunders.
McGuire sets himself, and Saunders steps forward looking for the clinch! McGuire avoids it this time.
McGuire connects with a solid leg kick.

McGuire thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Saunders if he has to take too many more of those.

McGuire moves out of range as Saunders strikes.
McGuire has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McGuire there as he acknowledges the shot.
McGuire feints a jab and as Saunders dips his head, McGuire unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Saunders right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Saunders falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! McGuire smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Lathem McGuire!
A relieved looking Lathem McGuire thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
