The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Guri.
Guri has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lawson finds it's way round the side to connect with Guri's head.
That kick from Guri tenderised Lawson's leg. Lawson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lawson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Guri counters with a nice leg kick.
Jab, jab by Lawson - just one landing.
Lawson throws a big shot that misses.
Lawson throws a right hand that misses
and Guri makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Guri feints and then cracks Lawson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lawson down.
Guri takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Guri feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Lawson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Guri.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lawson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Guri counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Lawson misses with a looping left.
As Lawson backs away, Guri returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Lawson misses with an uppercut
and Guri counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A swing and a miss from Lawson.
Guri fires out a quick counter leg kick but Lawson just manages to avoid it.
Guri looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Lawson lands a really nice looking cross but Guri seems unphased.
Guri lunges at Lawson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lawson's hand.
Lawson misses with a lunging right hand
and Guri counters with a nice uppercut.
Guri ducks under a wild hook from Lawson.
Guri moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lawson misses with an uppercut

and Guri counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Lawson tries to circle away but Guri has him pinned against the cage.

Lawson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
OH! Guri has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Lawson smells blood and charges in for the finish! Lawson unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Guri sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
