The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Junior tries to keep at a distance but Mostakaev has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mostakaev pulls guard effortlessly.
Junior wants to control from the top but Mostakaev keeps moving.
Mostakaev has Junior pulled in close to control his posture.

Mostakaev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Junior gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mostakaev is adopting a defensive guard.
Mostakaev preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Junior trying to control but Mostakaev is working from the bottom.
Junior is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Mostakaev is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Junior defends well.

Mostakaev has his foot on Junior's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Junior works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mostakaev working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Junior doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mostakaev is tightening it up a little... Junior has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Junior reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Junior taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mostakaev!

A very excited looking Kyril Mostakaev rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
