The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jaxon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ameen was covering up waiting for the punch and Jaxon finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ameen wants to get back to his feet but Jaxon passes into half guard.

Ameen wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jaxon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Ameen is rocked!

It looks like Zhyar Ameen has been cut.
Ameen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jaxon controls the pace.
Ameen is still in real trouble! Can Jaxon finish him?
Jaxon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jaxon loads up on a big left hand. Ameen felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Jaxon looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Ameen can't hide his disappointment, as Jaxon celebrates the victory.
