Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jules Ann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hemolele Kalakona!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalakona tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ann paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ann fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kalakona has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kalakona misses with a jab to the body
and Ann counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Hemolele Kalakona has been cut.
Kalakona swings and misses with a shot to the body
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Ann is looking to slow Kalakona down with leg kicks.

enabling Ann to counter with a crisp jab.

A quick step to the side and Ann tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Ann lands a head kick. Kalakona smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and Ann counters with a huge left! Kalakona is in big trouble! He's backing up but Ann isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Kalakona from any more damage. A dominating finish by Ann!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jules Ann!
A less than humble Jules Ann misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
