PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Westlake (ranked 4247 p4p, 4203 weight class) and Euan Daxton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Westlake comes into the arena with Tek It (Sped Up) blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Westlake closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Daxton's guard.

Westlake avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Westlake wants to control from the top but Daxton keeps moving.

Daxton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Westlake doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Westlake manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Westlake has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Westlake got a little sloppy there for a moment and Daxton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Westlake has managed to get both his arms back between Daxton's legs - danger averted.

Daxton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Westlake is aware though and is defending well.

Daxton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Westlake defends well.
Daxton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Westlake manages to get himself to full guard.

Daxton is stalling in the full guard.

Westlake wants to improve his position but instead Daxton has moved into half guard.

Westlake gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Westlake reaches up to try and pull Daxton in and control his posture, but Daxton latches on to an arm and pivots quickly for an armbar! Westlake taps out and this one is all over!
