The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greco closes the distance and clinches up with Siegert, looking for a takedown. Greco pushes Siegert against the cage but Siegert circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Greco drops down looking for a counter takedown but Siegert sprawls and moves away.

Siegert turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Siegert manages to end up in side control.

Greco seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Still in half guard, Greco seems content to control.
Greco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Siegert really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Greco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Siegert wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Greco remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Greco has an Americana. Siegert didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Greco is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Greco hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
