Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Slaw Spud (ranked 5616 p4p, 4176 weight class) and Damien Black (ranked 520 p4p, 477 weight class). Damien Black has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Slaw Spud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damien Black!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Black is looking to work some ground and pound but Spud has wrist control.
Black in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Black working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Black accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Spud wants to get back to his feet but Black is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Black postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Spud on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Spud tries to get out of the position.
Black is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Black throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Spud works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Black stays in close to Spud's body and controls the position.
It looks like Black might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Oh Spud is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Black looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Black sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Spud's guard.

Black scores with a big shot! Spud's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Spud! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Damien Black decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
