Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Junior Seto (ranked 963 p4p, 2570 weight class) and Tony Pacucci (ranked 139 p4p, 345 weight class). Seto's entrance music is The Doors - Roadhouse Blues. A fine choice. Tony Pacucci acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Junior Seto!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Pacucci!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Seto looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Seto throwing strikes from guard but Pacucci blocks nicely.
Seto working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Seto is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Seto controlling from the top position.
Seto is pushing down on Pacucci's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pacucci is fighting to maintain full guard but Seto has managed to sneak the leg through.

Pacucci is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Seto is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pacucci has managed to free his arm - good work.

Seto's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Seto pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pacucci is keeping the position for now.
Seto with a flurry of punches that miss.
Seto seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Seto wants to pass the guard but Pacucci is keeping the position.
Seto passes Pacucci's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Seto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pacucci keeps working.
Seto is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pacucci is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Seto is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pacucci regains full guard. Nicely done.

Pacucci is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Seto postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Pacucci is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Seto wants to improve his position but Pacucci is controlling well.
Seto manages to get to full guard.
Seto looking for a sweep. Not yet Seto, not yet.

Seto preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Seto is on top in guard.

Pacucci tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pacucci avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Pacucci can't keep his opponent in guard - Seto advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Seto looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Seto thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pacucci's head.
Pacucci tries to get to full guard but Seto has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Seto is looking for a kimura here.
Seto seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Seto seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pacucci for as long as he can get away with.
Pacucci is not content to let Seto control the position.
Seto not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Seto takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Pacucci is not content to let Seto control the position.
Seto throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pacucci tries to roll over but Seto keeps him under control.
Seto slows the pace down in half guard.
Pacucci is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Seto's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Seto's back!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Pacucci darts in and clinches Seto up against the cage.
Pacucci goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pacucci misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Seto has Pacucci pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Seto pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pacucci tumbling to the mat - Seto dives into Pacucci's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pacucci is on top in guard.

Seto looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Pacucci pushes down on Seto's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Seto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pacucci is working away from the top position though.

Seto has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Pacucci has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Seto is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Pacucci has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Seto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Seto is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Pacucci breaks Seto's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Pacucci loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Seto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pacucci is one step ahead there.
Seto is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pacucci is in close to Seto's body, working some short punches and elbows.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Seto holds on and takes a little breather.

Seto has his feet on Pacucci's thighs here. He's pushed Pacucci off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Pacucci screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
