Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pat Kelly!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gomez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gomez lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Pat Kelly has been cut.
Gomez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kelly throws a body punch but Gomez moves out of range.
Kelly lands an overhand right.
Kelly lunges at Gomez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gomez's hand.
Gomez wants to land a leg kick but Kelly is out of range.

Kelly moves into the clinch.
Kelly lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Gomez looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Kelly is pressed up against the cage. Gomez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kelly down to the mat. Kelly avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kelly lands with a hook. Gomez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kelly throws an off balance right hand
and Gomez counters with a nice uppercut.
Gomez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kelly manages to avoid it.

Kelly gets a clinch.
Gomez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kelly.
Kelly blocks a body shot from Gomez.

Gomez looking to stall.

Kelly breaks from the clinch.
Gomez moves out of range of the strikes.
Kelly ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kelly.
My spies in 3Band MMA inform me that Kelly has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

It looks like Carlos Gomez has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kelly postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gomez looks a forlorn figure.

Gomez is rocked!

A big strike lands for Kelly! That's really hurt Gomez and he's turned his back - Kelly keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Kelly jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
