Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gee Wiz (ranked 2636 p4p, 4531 weight class) and Teddy Howard (ranked 348 p4p, 522 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Teddy Howard!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Howard gets tackled into the cage by Wiz. Wiz maintains the clinch.
Wiz tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Howard effectively controlling the action here.
Wiz lands a hook that snaps the head of Howard backwards.
A left hand lands to the body for Howard.
Howard has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Wiz is working for takedown but Howard is calmly controlling the position for now.

Howard manages to break the clinch.
Howard stuffs the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wiz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Howard swivels and escapes.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wiz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wiz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Howard looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Howard looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Howard!

Howard decides to stand up, so the ref orders Wiz to his feet.
Wiz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Wiz takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Howard throws a head kick that misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wiz.
Wiz walks forward, straight into a front kick from Howard.

Howard moves into the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Howard.
Wiz lands with a left to the head.
Wiz throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Howards head.

Wiz is pushing Howard up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Wiz tries to score a body lock takedown but Howard shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Howard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Wiz clinches up with Howard and pushes him back against the cage.

Howard has Wiz pushed against the cage.
Wiz blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Howard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wiz shoots in and drives through. Howard sprawls well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Teddy Howard will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Wiz tries for a takedown but Howard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Wiz doesn't manage to clinch there - Howard circles away.
Wiz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Howard sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wiz cracks Howard with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Wiz takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Howard throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Wiz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Howard is defending well.

Howard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wiz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Howard swivels and escapes.
Teddy Howard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Howard throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wiz has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Howard.
Howard lands a body shot.
Howard scores with a kick to the midsection.
Howard moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Wiz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Howard lands a big head kick that sends Wiz tumbling to the mat! Howard takes a step backwards and waves Wiz back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Wiz is rocked!
Howard lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Wiz crumples to the floor! Howard milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
