Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nep Nep (ranked 4309 p4p, 25304 weight class) and Punch Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Punch Power will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Punch Power!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nep shoots in for a takedown but Power shows good takedown defense.

Nep forces Power back against the cage and clinches.
Nep scores with a hook to the body.
Nep is looking to take this one to the mat.

Nep pulls Power into guard.
Power stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nep swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nep keeping moving, preventing Power from controlling successfully.
Nep is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Power is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nep tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nep controlling Power's posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nep's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Nep has Power pulled in close to control his posture.

Nep steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Power.
Nep half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Punch Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Power closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Power lands in his opponent's guard.

Nep has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Power has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Power struggles to land a body shot inside as Nep controls his hands.
Power is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Power is trying to break the clinch but Nep is controlling him.

Nep goes for a takedown attempt but Power pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nep shoots in looking for a takedown. Power tries to sprawl out of it but Nep keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Power manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Power tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nep swivels and escapes.
Nep swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Power looks winded!
Power tries a head kick but it misses.
Power wants to clinch.
Nep dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Power. That did some damage!
Nep misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nep swats away the attempt to clinch by Power.
Nep takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Power throws a sloppy head kick and Nep moves out of range easily.
A big right from Power misses.
Nep takes one to the chin there.
Nep shoots in for a takedown but Power shows good takedown defense.
Nice defenses there by Nep.
Power tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Nep counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Nep shoots in for a double leg but Power sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nep shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Power as he avoids it easily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Power, as that shot connected.

Nep closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Power has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Nep after a bit of a struggle.

Nep takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nep tries to move into range but Power moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Power wants to clinch up but Nep keeps it at a distance.

Nep throws a quick counter head kick but Power was just out of range.
Nep slaps away a takedown attempt from Power, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Power tries to clinch but Nep is having none of it.
As Power looks to move away, Nep throws a big counter combo but Power just gets out of the way.

Nice uppercut there from Power.
Punch Power seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Power tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Power misses with the combination.
Nep fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Power with the counter takedown but Nep avoids it easily.

Power has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Power stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Power tries a head kick but it misses.
Nep Nep is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Nep shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Power napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Power is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Nep will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Nep postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Nep tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nep has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Power looking for a sweep but Nep has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Nep controlling his opponent.
Nep looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Nep throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Power because Nep loaded up on that one.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Punch Power will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Nep lands with a kick to the temple. Power shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Nep takes a jab right on the kisser.

Power forces Nep back against the cage and clinches.
Nep prevents a takedown attempt there.
Power wants to break free but Nep has control.
Nep using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Nep drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Power gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nep's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Power tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Nice takedown defense from Power. No joy for Nep on that attempt.
Nep lands a slapping body shot.
Nep has his takedown stuffed
and Nep takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nep Nep. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Power tries to clinch but Nep moves away
and Nep counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Power is lucky that one didn't land flush.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Nep stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Nep manages to pull guard.
Power lands a couple of elbows.

Nep has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Power can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Power trying to control but Nep is working from the bottom.
Nep has his hands on Power's head, controlling the position.

Nep looking for a sweep. Not yet Nep, not yet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Nep misses with a takedown attempt
and Power counters with a nice uppercut.
Nep throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Power moves in looking to clinch but Nep pushes him off.
Power wants to clinch.
Nep was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Power shoots for a double leg takedown but Nep sprawls well. He's pushed Power's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Power throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Nep rushes Power and presses him up against the cage.
Power is trying to push Nep away but Nep has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nep tries to score a body lock takedown but Power shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Power's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Nep tries for a takedown but Power manages to get underhooks.
Power tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Power can't break the clinch.

Nep jumps guard and drags Power to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Nep Nep has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Punch Power is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Nep looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Power passes into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nep Nep showed his dominance in that final round.
