Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luiz Felipe!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fred throws the left hand but Felipe avoids the punch easily.
Felipe raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Felipe tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Fred counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fred is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Fred is looking to take a break and control but Felipe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fred is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Felipe defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Felipe is pressing down on Fred's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Fred looking to sit in guard and control but Felipe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fred controls Felipe momentarily but Felipe frees himself.
Fred looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fred working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Felipe.
Fred definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Felipe wants to pass the guard but Fred is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fred looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Felipe stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Fred has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Felipe manages to get his head free but now Fred has transitioned to an armbar! Felipe grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Fred! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
