Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sauvo Korhonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yago Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korhonen moves out of range as Ramos strikes.
Korhonen tries to clinch up
letting Ramos counter with a right hand.
Korhonen slips under a jab.
Korhonen is looking for a counter combo.
Ramos avoids the head kick by Korhonen.
Ramos drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Korhonen defends it well.
Ramos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Korhonen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ramos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Korhonen staying out of range there.
Korhonen lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Sauvo Korhonen has been cut.
A cross from Ramos lands.
Sauvo Korhonen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ramos connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Ramos bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Korhonen's head backwards.
Ramos swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
It looked like Korhonen was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Ramos throws a right hand that Korhonen ducks under and follows up with a left that Korhonen also avoids with ease.
Korhonen appears to be looking for a big counter.
Ramos misses with a series of wild punches.
Korhonen went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ramos lands a body shot.
Korhonen doesn't manage to clinch there - Ramos circles away.
Yago Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ramos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Korhonen manages to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ramos has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Ramos counters with a nice uppercut.
Ramos throws a series of punches but Korhonen moves out of range.
Korhonen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Ramos misses with a head kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Korhonen enables Ramos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Korhonen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Korhonen is looking for a triangle but Ramos pushes his legs off easily.

Ramos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Korhonen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ramos has managed to get both his arms back between Korhonen's legs - danger averted.

Korhonen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ramos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ramos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ramos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ramos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ramos lands a nice short elbow.

Ramos wants to work for an arm triangle but Korhonen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Ramos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Korhonen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ramos drops Korhonen with a beautiful combination! Korhonen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ramos is looking for the KO!

Ramos drops Korhonen with a naaaaasty hook - Korhonen is in real trouble here! Ramos dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
