Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rigel Ko Nachi (ranked 1262 p4p, 1008 weight class) and Ralphie Maldonado (ranked 171 p4p, 142 weight class). Ko Nachi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Echoing Thunder. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rigel Ko Nachi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 14 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ralphie Maldonado!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maldonado thumps Ko Nachi with a low kick.
Maldonado blocks a head kick by Ko Nachi.
Ko Nachi throws a leg kick which misses Maldonado's front leg but catches the back leg as Maldonado tries to avoid it.
Maldonado throws a lazy body kick
enabling Ko Nachi to counter with a crisp jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Maldonado misses the target.
An attempted straight right counter from Ko Nachi misses the target.
Ko Nachi throws a leg kick
and Maldonado counters with a nice leg kick.
Ko Nachi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Maldonado.
Ko Nachi throws a quick counter kick to the body but Maldonado avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ko Nachi.
Ko Nachi throws a wild body kick that Maldonado sees coming a mile off.
Ko Nachi swings for the body but Maldonado moves out of range.

Maldonado swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maldonado thuds his shin into the meat of Ko Nachi's side.
Ko Nachi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Maldonado misses the body punch
and Ko Nachi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Maldonado swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Maldonado misses with an uppercut. Ko Nachi saw that one coming.
Ko Nachi thinks about countering with a body kick.
Maldonado throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ko Nachi was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Maldonado throws a jab when Ko Nachi was well out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circling - Maldonado throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Maldonado looks for the body kick but Ko Nachi saw that one coming.
Maldonado uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ko Nachi.
Maldonado tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Maldonado avoids a kick to the body.
Maldonado waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ko Nachi.
Maldonado looks to land a body kick but Ko Nachi moved away.
Maldonado misses with a low kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maldonado blocks a low kick nicely.

Ko Nachi sends Maldonado crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ko Nachi is motioning to the referee to let Maldonado up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Maldonado is rocked!
Ko Nachi moves out of range as Maldonado strikes.
Maldonado is still on wobbly legs! Can Ko Nachi finish him?
Ko Nachi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Maldonado seems to have recovered his senses.
Ko Nachi thows a body kick. Maldonado tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A combination from Ko Nachi does no damage.
Maldonado looks like he wants to counter punch here.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ko Nachi moves out of range of the body kick.
Maldonado misses with a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Maldonado looks to land a left hand but Ko Nachi moved out of range nicely.
Ko Nachi misses with a left hand
and Maldonado counters with a left to the body.
A head kick misses from Maldonado.
Ko Nachi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
It seemed like Maldonado was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Maldonado throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Ko Nachi went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ko Nachi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ko Nachi moves out of range as Maldonado strikes.
Ko Nachi tried to counter with a leg kick but Maldonado avoided it.
Ko Nachi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Maldonado.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rigel Ko Nachi will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ko Nachi looks for the body kick but Maldonado saw that one coming.

Ko Nachi lands a big head kick that sends Maldonado tumbling to the mat! Ko Nachi takes a step backwards and waves Maldonado back to his feet - he wants the finish!

and Ko Nachi counters with a big right hand! Oh Maldonado is in trouble here! Ko Nachi follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rigel Ko Nachi!
During a confident post fight interview, Rigel Ko Nachi thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
