Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Jones (ranked 5541 p4p, 3513 weight class) and Island Android (ranked 471 p4p, 387 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Android enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Android manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Android doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Android manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Android can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jones has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Android is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jones.

Android has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jones is really squeezing tight and eventually Android passes out!
