Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John McCoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Robin Hawkes!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for McCoy.
McCoy stalks Hawkes and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hawkes's face. Hawkes staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Robin Hawkes has been cut.
McCoy throws the left hand but Hawkes avoids the punch easily.
McCoy definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hawkes. McCoy does a little dance to reset his feet.
A combination from McCoy does no damage.

McCoy gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hawkes has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
McCoy lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Hawkes struggles to land a body shot inside as McCoy controls his hands.
Hawkes doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A short right from McCoy on the inside.
McCoy lands an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCoy blocks a body shot from Hawkes.
McCoy throws an elbow but it misses.
Hawkes dodges an elbow strike from McCoy.
A shot in the inside from McCoy.
A hook to the body from McCoy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McCoy comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
A right handed body shot lands from McCoy.

McCoy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McCoy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hawkes.
Hawkes throws a left and a right that both miss
letting McCoy counter with a right hand.
Hawkes looks winded!
A shot to the body from Hawkes misses
and McCoy counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hawkes misses with a double jab.
As Hawkes tries to get set, McCoy tries to push him back and clinch up but Hawkes manages to avoid the attempt.
McCoy keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Hawkes takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
McCoy fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Decent striking displayed by McCoy there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCoy plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Hawkes to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Hawkes just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John McCoy!
