The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araújo throws a good cross that connects.
Fábio Araújo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Araújo connects with a crisp jab.

and DeCoteau counters with a right hand to the body.
Araújo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of DeCoteau's head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Araújo, as that shot connected.

Araújo connects with a body shot that sends DeCoteau's belly button to the back.

Araújo looks to score with a jab to the body but DeCoteau is just out of range.
DeCoteau tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

DeCoteau takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Araújo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of DeCoteau's head.

DeCoteau takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A looping hook to the body misses from Araújo. DeCoteau does a little dance to reset his feet.
Araújo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by DeCoteau.
DeCoteau tries a quick counter leg kick but Araújo is wise to it.
That kick from Araújo tenderised DeCoteau's leg. DeCoteau is trying to keep his angry face on.

DeCoteau tries to move into range but Araújo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Araújo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with DeCoteau, pushing him back against the cage.
DeCoteau has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Araújo after a bit of a struggle.
Araújo tries to throw a body punch but DeCoteau avoids it by throwing Araújo back against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Araújo fails to land.

DeCoteau tries to score a body lock takedown but Araújo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Araújo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

DeCoteau shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

DeCoteau uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Araújo.
Araújo lands with an overhand left.

Araújo forces DeCoteau back against the cage and clinches.

Araújo wants to stand but DeCoteau has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Araújo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

DeCoteau is looking for a triangle but Araújo pushes his legs off easily.

DeCoteau has his feet on Araújo's thighs here. He's pushed Araújo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Araújo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
