Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
roe is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Chen keeps the fight on the outside.
roe lands with a slapping head kick.
Chen has a takedown stuffed.
roe tries to clinch there but Chen circles away.

roe has managed to clinch.
Chen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
roe lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Andrew Chen has been cut.
Chen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Chen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as roe walks away with a smile on his face. Chen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Chen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but roe swivels and escapes.

roe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Chen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! roe is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chen, into his guard.
Chen wants to sweep here but roe controlling him for the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Chen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. roe manages to get himself to full guard.
roe throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

roe looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Chen has picked roe up and slammed him! roe can't keep hold of the triangle and Chen manages to pass to side control!
The referee asks Chen politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Chen prefers to stall for the moment though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Chen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but roe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
roe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Chen wants to lay and pray for a moment but roe keeps working.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
