Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randy The Show!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gilbervan Soares!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares shoots in but no luck this time.
Soares scores with a jab to the body.

Soares closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Soares lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Soares looking for a takedown.

The Show is fighting off a takedown attempt but Soares is just too persistent for him and manages to trip The Show to the mat. The Show regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Show wants to stand and escape but Soares is having none of it.

Soares loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Soares stands up over The Show, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Soares postures up in The Show's guard and throws a big left but The Show blocks it.
Soares lands a couple of digs.
Soares wants to control from the top but The Show keeps moving.
The Show is controlling Soares's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Soares postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Soares stops The Show from standing up.
Soares pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. The Show is keeping the position for now.

Soares keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of The Show's head.
Soares missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The Show avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The Show has Soares pulled in close to control his posture.
The Show controls Soares momentarily but Soares frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Soares tries to clinch but The Show moves away
and The Show counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Soares closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The Show throws a head punch that misses.
Soares pushes The Show back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Soares tries to throw a body punch but The Show avoids it by throwing Soares back against the cage.

The Show breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Soares dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Soares cracks The Show with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The Show swats away the attempt to clinch by Soares.
The Show swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Soares waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract The Show. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped The Show to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

The Show is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Soares throws a big elbow that misses.
The Show wants to sweep here but Soares controlling him for the moment.
The Show looking to control.
Soares pushing down on The Show's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Soares looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Show with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Soares lands strikes from half guard.
Oh The Show is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Soares has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The Show wants to get back to full guard.
The Show seems to have got his legs back now.

Soares not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The Show gets full guard.
The Show preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The Show is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gilbervan Soares dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Soares fakes high and swings low for a body shot but The Show manages to avoid it.

Soares shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches The Show napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The Show tries to bench press Soares off him but Soares keeps the position.
The Show dodges the ground and pound from Soares.
The Show takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Soares remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Soares misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Soares working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Soares landing strikes.
Soares tries to advance to mount but The Show denies him.
Soares trying to control the action but The Show is working from the bottom.
The Show tries to bench press Soares off him but Soares keeps the position.

Soares scores with punches from side control.
Soares scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at The Show to see if he's OK.
Soares lands a strong strike to the head of The Show. That's dazed him! Soares looking to finish here. The Show is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Soares lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gilbervan Soares!
Gilbervan Soares gave a mention to Voodoo Nutrition in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
Randy The Show spoke after the fight, saying 'This loss will not define me!'.
