Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, LUcio Flavio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bezky Gibbon!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flavio uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gibbon.
A quick step to the side and Flavio tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gibbon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A nice side step and Gibbon releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

LUcio Flavio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gibbon sizes up Flavio with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Flavio connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gibbon. Gibbon circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Gibbon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Flavio to score with a decent uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gibbon jabs Flavio right on the nose. Flavio blinks but takes it well.

Gibbon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gibbon now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bezky Gibbon will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Gibbon misses with a body shot.
Gibbon drops Flavio with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Flavio looks back up at him and smiles so Gibbon waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Flavio is rocked!
Flavio lands a jab to Gibbon's midsection.
Oh Flavio is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A jab from Flavio finds it's way through Gibbon's defenses.
Flavio seems to have got his legs back now.

and Flavio cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Gibbon scores with a counter punch that sends Flavio to the canvas! Gibbon smells blood - he's punishing Flavio with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Flavio has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
