The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brawler leaves Munoz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Brawler clinches up with Munoz and pushes him back against the cage.

Brawler is trying to maintain a safe position but Munoz gets an underhook and turns Brawler into the cage.

That has opened up Johnny Munoz's cut even more.
Brawler lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Brawler lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Munoz backwards.
Brawler swings wildly with an uppercut but Munoz uses good head movement to avoid it.

Munoz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Munoz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Munoz has a closed guard, preventing Brawler from standing up.
Munoz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Munoz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brawler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Brawler is rocked!

Munoz is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Brawler is hurt! He's hurt bad - Munoz fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Brawler from any more punishment! Congratulations to Munoz! Great finish!
