Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Jack (ranked 4244 p4p, 5343 weight class) and Kartoffeln Suppe (ranked 419 p4p, 447 weight class). Kartoffeln Suppe is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kartoffeln Suppe!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jack scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Suppe trying to control here.
Jack looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Jack looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Jack seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Suppe for as long as he can get away with.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Suppe can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jack's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jack winds up and cracks Suppe with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Jack takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Suppe is refusing to be controlled, as Jack sits in half guard.

Jack throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jack thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Suppe is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jack rather than just go for the knockout.

Horrible takedown attempt by Jack or perhaps it was just good defense by Suppe, which made it look bad.

Suppe punishes Jack's body with a nice straight punch.
Suppe feints a jab promting Jack to slip. Suppe then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jack slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Suppe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Suppe is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Suppe lands a nice hook to Jack's body. Jack takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Suppe has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Suppe scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jack doesn't seem bothered though.

Suppe cracks a nice hook into Jack's ribs.
Suppe moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Suppe lands a nice hook to Jack's body. Jack takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jack with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Suppe to score with a decent uppercut.

Kartoffeln Suppe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jack shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jack was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jack throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
