The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez cracks a nice hook into Hoffman 's ribs.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hoffman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hoffman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Perez avoids it really well and circles away.
Hoffman is breathing heavily.
Perez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Hoffman throws a push kick but Perez slaps the foot to one side.

Perez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Hoffman kicks Perez off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hoffman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hoffman circles away from the clinch attempt.

Perez closes the distance and pushes Hoffman back into the cage.

Perez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Perez jabs at Hoffman 's body.
Perez throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Perez connects with a crisp jab.
Perez scores with a three punch combo!

Hoffman is rocked!

Perez drops Hoffman with a right and a left! Perez comes rushing in but Hoffman regains his composure and manages to keep Perez in guard.
Oh Hoffman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Perez gets to his feet and stands over Hoffman , holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Hoffman felt that one! Perez unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Hoffman from any more punishment!
