Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronaldo Gomes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tayaen Porfirigo!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Porfirigo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Porfirigo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gomes, pushing him back against the cage.
Porfirigo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gomes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Gomes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Porfirigo gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronaldo Gomes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gomes dives in and grabs Porfirigo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Porfirigo pushes down on Gomes's head and hops out.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Gomes enables Porfirigo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gomes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Gomes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Porfirigo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gomes has Porfirigo in his guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gomes wants to improve his position here. There's a bit of a scramble and Porfirigo has taken Gomes's back! He's locked on a rear naked choke here and Gomes has been forced to tap!
