Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Kowalski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gabriel Havran!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Havran swivels and escapes.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kowalski is defended easily by Havran.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kowalski.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Kowalski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Havran fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Havran defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kowalski.
Havran misses with a wild body shot.
Kowalski tries to counter with a takedown but Havran is quick to defend against it.
Havran takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The fighters circling - Havran throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kowalski feinted with a counter takedown.
Havran takes a swing at Kowalski's ribcage but misses.
Kowalski half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Havran misses with an uppercut

and Kowalski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Havran's guard.

Havran is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Kowalski presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kowalski is trying to break the clinch but Havran is controlling him.
Havran tries a body shot but Kowalski blocks it.
Kowalski is trying to break free.
Kowalski misses with a short punch on the inside.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Havran is pressed up against the cage. Kowalski has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Havran down to the mat. Havran avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Havran lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kowalski circles away quickly and effectively.
Havran throws a shot from downtown. Kowalski moves away and avoids it.
Havran misses with a hook.
Havran fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Havran swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kowalski counters with a takedown into side control.
Havran is pushing Kowalski's head away, looking to escape. Kowalski manages to hold on to the position though.
Sloppy strikes there by Kowalski.
Havran is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Kowalski prevents Havran from escaping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Havran tries to escape but Kowalski is in control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kowalski scores with a couple of short elbows.
Kowalski advances to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kowalski throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Havran because Kowalski loaded up on that one.
Kowalski lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Havran hang on?

It looks like Gabriel Havran has been cut.
Kowalski thowing shots but they're missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kowalski landing strikes from the mount and Havran is in trouble!

The cut above Gabriel Havran's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Gabriel Havran's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Peter Kowalski!
